Someone on Bluesky recently asked what we’d be doing today if we were ignoring the inauguration. I have no interest in that event or the man being sworn in. I have no interest in watching a billionaire’s hateful oligarchic election happen.
What I am interested in is doing something positive. Well, the person who asked the question said they would be dancing to “Groove in the Heart”, and I loved that! So that’s what I did as well. And then I took some time to listen to Martin Luther King’s famous speech and watch some of the parades going on today to celebrate his life. If anything can inspire me today it is a historical dream that is still trying to be recognized, it’s dancing to upbeat music, it’s just being silent and reflective about being alive.
